Rent vs. Buy Analysis

This comparison will calculate the money saved over thirty years if you were to purchase a home rather than renting a property. The time compared is adjustable for how long you plan to own the property.

Criteria for the analysis includes purchaser's tax bracket, annual home appreciation, savings earning rate, etc. Default values have been added to show to type of input needed, or to reflect a general assumption of what is standard in most situations. If left to defaults, this analysis will only give an estimate.

You're welcome to customize the calculation below to reflect your unique situation. Simply change any of the "inputs" and click on "Calculate Again".
